[It was time for Liquid to leave.]
[He'd been in Violet City for long enough, and he'd been with his previous companions for far too long-- it was better for him to go. He needed a some time by himself, anyway, to think through things a little and maybe sort some things out in his head. Heather had given him a lot to think about, whether he wanted to or not.]
[And it was better, anyway, to leave Otacon with Snake. That was who he'd been waiting for, after all, and he ought to go with him for the rest of the time that they were here. Snake could keep him out of trouble with Heather's help, and everything would be fine.]
[He'd be alone again, but that was fine-- he was used to it. And he wouldn't feel so weak if he was by himself, relying on himself again. He didn't need anyone, after all. All he needed was the strength of his own arm, and he'd be fine. He ignored the looks that Huan kept shooting him, the ones he'd come to think of as the 'you're being stupid' looks that the devil-mutt so often shot at him. The damned thing was smarter than it appeared.]
[It was time to start again. He put the city to his back and stepped out onto Route 32.]
