[This was a fight that had been a long time in coming.  Otacon had gotten a badge from Whitney ages ago, and Liquid had only put it off because he had been sent on a wild-goose chase after his father.  If it hadn't been for that, he would have defeated her right after and gotten yet another badge for his growing collection.]
