If you've interacted with Liquid before and want to be added to the CR list, drop me a line here. Or if you'd like to interact with him, let me know!
It's not over yet! )

[When the feed clicked on, it was showing an image of Liquid sitting on what appeared to be the edge of a building.  It was evening, and the sun was in just the right place so that the sky behind him was lit with red and orange, and made his hair blaze like a golden halo around his head.]

[It was all very dramatic and it probably wasn't coincidental that he was sitting in that exact spot at that exact moment.  Liquid always did have a flair for drama.]

There's something that I want to know, from those of you who have more knowledge in the subject than I.

[He kept looking out from whatever high place he was perched at this time, not looking down at the camera; the light and the angle made for a statuesque picture, and stop posing already and get to the point Liquid gdit.]

Let's say that, for instance, that you know of the future that waits for you back in your own world.  And let us say that it isn't a future that you're particularly fond of.  Perhaps things don't play out how you want them to, perhaps people are harmed that you would rather have saved, or perhaps you've... simply decided that the goals you had then are no longer ones that you hold stock in.

I know that it's possible that we won't remember this place when we return.  I don't care about that.  I want to know what happens when you start to change the timeline like that, when you try to change the course of fate.  I am no theoretical physicist, nor even much of a scientist-- my knowledge and my skills are solely of a practical nature.  I don't know anything about quantum or string theory or the space-time continuum.  Quite frankly, I really don't care about all the picky little details of it.  That's something that Hal would care about, not me.  He has the mind for it.

I suppose it's useless to keep going on this hypothetical charade.  This isn't a hypothetical situation at all.  I have learned of my future, I deem it unacceptable, and I am going to change it, and even the hand of God himself won't be able to stop me.

[He grins mirthlessly.]

I just want to know what I'm going to have to break in order to make it work.
boldandresolute: (Two seconds before things explode)
[Liquid had gotten tired of waiting in Violet for his father to show his face.  Despite the fact that the snow was coming down so thick that he could hardly see two feet in front of his face and the temperatures weren't climbing out of the low teens, the British soldier left the safety of his hotel room in pursuit of Big Boss.  He would find him, come hell, high water, or, in this case, a blizzard.]

[He would find him.  He had to find him.  His father was out here somewhere, the cycloptic bastard, and Liquid was going to find him and tear out his heart.  Or something.  He really hadn't decided what he was going to do very far beyond 'fight and win'.]

[Liquid bowed his head and hunched his shoulders against the wind, plowing his way through the blizzard like an icebreaker ship through a frozen sea.  His father was close, he was somewhere around here-- he could feel it in his bones.]

[Or maybe that was just frostbite.  Hard to tell.]

--!

[Liquid tripped over something dark in the snow.]
